Welcome to a MIX Artists project involving tag-team hyperbolic crochet in a public space. Designed to highlight the fragility of Albany’s limestone reef, a collection of artists create ‘living’, growing crocheted structures reminiscent of forms from the natural world. The process, rather than the resulting work, is the focus of this    project – dedicated to raising environmental awareness while showcasing the undervalued medium of crochet!

Aggregate is a satellite of the worldwide ‘hyperbolic crochet coral reef’ project, created by Margaret and Christine Wertheim of the Institute for Figuring in Los Angeles, USA.
