From the team behind the Oscar nominated Twin Sisters comes a romantic epic that begins with a historical air race from London to Christchurch in 1953. The film follows Ada, Marjorie and Esther, three young Dutch women who leave their homeland on the KLM entrant. Eager to escape the traumatic memories and devastation of post-war Holland, they look forward to a new start in New Zealand. Over time, however, they are forced to face the realities of life and secrets rising from the past.

The press dubbed the London air race Bride Flight, as the winning plane from The Netherlands carried mainly females set to join fiancés already settled in New Zealand. Interspersed with actual footage of the historic record breaking flight, this achingly beautiful love story explores the central idea that past and present are inextricably linked.
