FESTIVAL 10 FOR TEACHERS

WELCOME FROM THE FESTIVAL EDUCATION OFFICER: MANDY HAWKHEAD

It's a privilege to offer another exciting array of first-class arts events. Festival 2010 brings many exciting developments your way: a series of artist talks and workshops; student competitions; travelling shows visiting Mandurah and Girrawheen; an enhanced Great Southern program and accompanying launch, plus a new look brochure.

Navigate through the Education Section of the Perth Festival website to find all of the event information you require including the relevant booking agent, ticket prices and teacher resources. Also, don't miss the workshops and artist talks pages where you may find something special to compliment the event experience.

Within this section you will find several free family events with a strong connection to the Education Program. We recommend you encourage your students and their families to get along to these.

Students can submit event reviews, photographs and artworks that celebrate their Festival experience to be in the running to win great prizes. Entries should be sent toschools@perthfestival.com.au, accompanied by name, age, school, phone number and t-shirt size by Friday 12 March.

Should you have an queries or wish to request an Education Program brochure, please contact me on 6488 8636 or  schools@perthfestival.com.au. I look forward to hearing from you soon and truly hope you and your students have an unforgettable Festival.
