PHILIP GAMBLEN

ART:CITY | WESFARMERS

SUITABILITY: All ages
themes: Light, illusion, scale, city intervention

Philip Gamblen explores the magnificence and energy of light by recasting the west wall of the Carillon building into a dream-like vision. Vibrant hues and fluid forms illuminate the night as the scale and texture of the building's architecture are transformed, alluding to physical phenomena and forces of nature. This transitory light work is sure to entice viewers of all ages, bringing the city to life. Philip Gamblen is renowned for his work across art, science and technology, especially for using mechanics, electronics and robotics to create kinetic art.
