SE LA FACE AY PALE

THE HILLIARD ENSEMBLE

Don't miss a night of pure vocal splendour as The Hilliard Ensemble perform sublime sacred music by two Renaissance masters and from the medieval Abbey of St Martial de Limoges.

The foremost composer of Renaissance Europe, Guillaume Dufay's exquisite four-part mass Se la Face ay Pale, with its overlapping waves of ethereal sound, established the dominant composition style of the age. Successor Josquin des  Prez's works are characterised by melodic splendour, technical genius and breathtaking creative ingenuity.

Their distinctive style and superb musicianship extends to a cappella performances, collaborations with the foremost composers and performers and regular appearances with the world's finest orchestras.

The Hilliard Ensemble continue to perform nearly 100 concerts each year worldwide, constantly in demand in Europe, Japan, the USA and Canada. They make their first appearance in Perth in 27 years.
